DeMarcus Lawrence launched himself full throttle at the Dallas Cowboys from the top rope.
The departed free agent, newly signed by the Seattle Seahawks, was brutally honest with the online publication Hawk Blogger about why he left the Lone Star State.
Lawrence set up the big blow by being nice first: “Dallas is my home. I made my home there. My family lives there. I’m forever gonna be there.”
That’s when Lawrence broke out the word “but”:
“I know for sure I’m not gonna win a Super Bowl there,” Lawrence concluded.
Goodness gracious, Lawrence didn’t hold back.

It’s a debate for another day as to whether Lawrence is more likely to win a Super Bowl for a Seahawks team quarterbacked by Sam Darnold.
But for now, that’s just quite the statement to make from a player who had thus far spent his entire 11 seasons in the NFL with the Cowboys.
In his Cowboys tenure, Lawrence had 61.5 sacks, and Dallas had six double-digit win seasons with Lawrence on the roster.
He may have a point, though: The Cowboys never made it past the Divisional Round in his 11 seasons in town.
Now it’ll be up to the soon-to-be 33-year old Lawrence to try and prove that he chose a destination with a better chance of winning.
