“Savage Feast: Witnessing the Terrifying Hyena Feeding Frenzy on a Lion’s Corpse”

October 3, 2023 by admin

The hyena is the most common carnivore in Africa. There are four species of hyena: brown, spotted, striped and the lesser known wolf hyena. While the spotted hyena is the largest species, all hyena species have large heads, strong jaws and long forelimbs.

As sharp and cunning predators, this animal mainly follows lions, leopards…, and then takes their food to survive. In the above encounters, hyenas are rarely killed because of their reckless nature, sharp teeth and overwhelming opponents in numbers.

In addition, hyenas also have some special abilities such as tracking and using scavengers like vultures to locate successful hunts.

Last night, 3 hyenas went to hunt giraffes without success. With no new loot, a hyena returned with the carcass of a lion they killed a week ago. Now it is enjoying its breakfast. The hyena seems to be very proud of this special breakfast because it and its fellows have killed their enemies in their fury.

The hyena and lion are two species that compete fiercely in the wild. Although hyenas are specialized in disrupting and robbing lions, lions have never considered hyenas as a threat.

Reckless, highly herd, but most attacks against lions by hyenas are at most just bringing trouble and not doing anything more. Therefore, when killing the lion, the hyena is very satisfied.
