Christina Haack’s Solo Show Returns—Will Josh Hall Appear Amid Their Divorce Drama?
Christina Haack’s HGTV series, Christina on the Coast, is back—but will her ex-husband Josh Hall make an appearance?
On Thursday, February 27, the second half of Season 5 premiered, showcasing Christina, 41, as she tackled a major home renovation for a deserving family. However, unlike in her Tennessee-based spinoff, Christina in the Country, where she and her now-ex-husband Josh Hall appeared together despite their split, there was no sign of Josh, 44, in the latest episode of Christina on the Coast.
Josh previously appeared in the first half of Season 5, which aired last summer, including a cameo at Christina’s daughter Taylor’s 13th birthday party. However, HGTV has not confirmed whether he will appear in the remaining three episodes of this season.
Christina Haack Navigates Life Post-Divorce
In one lighthearted scene, Christina’s 9-year-old son Brayden playfully teased his mother about her newfound single life. While shopping for wallpaper, he pointed to a martini glass-themed print and quipped, “I feel like this one, you would like.” Christina laughed and asked why, to which he replied, “Because… it’s your new life.” Amused, she responded, “My new life is a martini with blue cheese olives? You’re not wrong.”
Christina shares daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden with her first ex-husband and Flip Off co-star, Tarek El Moussa, 43. She also has a 5-year-old son, Hudson, from her second marriage to Ant Anstead, 45.
A Tumultuous Split
Josh Hall filed for divorce from Christina on July 15, 2024, citing “irreconcilable differences” and requesting spousal support. While his future on Christina on the Coast remains uncertain, he did appear on The Flip Off, which aired six months after their split.
In The Flip Off premiere, tension between the former couple was evident. During one heated exchange, Josh told Christina to “shut up” and accused her of “pissing me off.” Later, Christina became emotional while confiding in Tarek, revealing their kids had encouraged her to leave Josh because he was “not nice” to her.
Ongoing Divorce Drama
Throughout the season, Christina has provided updates on her increasingly messy divorce. In one episode, she claimed that a vehicle had gone missing from her Tennessee home, where Josh had been staying post-split. A source close to Josh later told PEOPLE that he was simply out washing and refueling the UTV and was already en route to return it when Christina inquired about its whereabouts.
In a candid moment, Christina admitted she regretted not signing a prenup before marrying Josh and confessed she wouldn’t have married him at all had she known how challenging the divorce would be.
With only a few episodes left this season, fans will have to wait and see if Josh makes an appearance—or if Christina continues navigating her new life entirely on her own terms.
