Fox Anchor Liz Claman and MSNBC Editor Jeff Kepnes Split After 24 Years, Report Says
Media power couple Liz Claman, Fox Business anchor, and Jeff Kepnes, MSNBC managing editor, have separated after 24 years of marriage, according to multiple sources who spoke to Page Six.
The split is reportedly amicable, with a close friend of the couple revealing that they “quietly separated in 2023.” Page Six also noted that Claman has been spotted without her wedding ring in recent months while on air.
Claman, 61, worked at CNBC before joining Fox Business in 2007. Since 2008, she has anchored The Claman Countdown on the network.
Kepnes, 58, spent years at MSNBC before becoming a senior producer at CNN from 2003 to 2017. He later returned to MSNBC, where he serves as the managing editor for Morning Joe, hosted by Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.
While their personal split seems to be on friendly terms, the professional rivalry between their respective networks remains intense. On February 26, The New York Post reported that Fox & Friends is drawing twice as many viewers as Morning Joe. MSNBC’s program has seen a significant dip in viewership since Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory.
Claman and Kepnes first met while working together in local news at Boston’s WHDH TV. They married in 1999 at the Beverly Hills Hotel and have two teenage children.
Fox News and MSNBC declined to comment on the separation.
