At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards held on September 7 at UBS Arena, New York, Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary rock icon who passed away in July at age 76, was honored with a star-studded tribute that left fans in awe.
The tribute began with a heartfelt video montage introduced by Osbourne’s son, Jack, and his four young daughters, all wearing “Ozzy” shirts. Yungblud then kicked off the performance with Osbourne’s classic hits “Crazy Train” and “Changes”, accompanied by guitarist Nuno Bettencourt.
Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith later joined to perform “Mama, I’m Coming Home”, with Yungblud adding his vocals. The performance concluded with a touching embrace among the artists, and Yungblud shouted, “Ozzy forever, man!”
Nuno Bettencourt shared his excitement about participating in the tribute, admitting that as a 15-year-old, he never imagined he would perform in honor of Osbourne.
